Trauma & Attachment Informed Psychotherapy

Don’t Keep Avoiding.

Asking for help is uncomfortable.

Feeling stuck, chaotic, overwhelmed, purposeless, anxious? Do you ever find yourself doing the same things over and over wishing you would have a different outcome? Do you feel consumed by your thoughts? Do people keep telling you how to live? Do you feel like you and your partner just don’t get each other? Won’t those continue if you keep avoiding them?

You have everything you need to heal.

Often time asking for help is overwhelming. We convince ourselves things will “get better tomorrow.” You want to make a change, make things better but you don’t know how. Therapy can help you get break free of old behaviors and create healthy patterns. Therapy can give you the tools you need to increase self worth, develop coping skills, improve communication, and achieve emotional healing. You don't have to do this alone. Healing is possible and it's time to take the first step.

Together, let’s bring you back to life.

Sick and tired is the opposite of living life. I want you to thrive. You are worthy of living the life you want to live. You are worthy of accepting your authentic, unique, beautiful self. Let me help you learn to trust yourself, your gut, and your intuition. You are good enough and you already have everything you need to become the person you want to be.

HOW THERAPY WORKS

Three Steps to Living

  1. Awareness

Be curious and open with yourself. What are are the body sensations, images, feelings, thoughts? Let’s name the emotion, witnessing the pain, fears and wounds.

2. Acceptance

Acknowledge the emotion and recognize the feeling without taking it on. Acceptance is a practice. Validation, understanding and compassion.

3. Action

Progress not perfection. We lead with our values knowing the things we can change and things we cannot. We honor our hard times and do the things we need to alleviate our stress.

I want you to get living.

I’m Elizabeth. I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist in KS and MO who specializes in attachment based therapy, childhood trauma and emotional healing. I am a EMDR Level 1 Certified clinician informed by Polyvagal Theory, IFS, Somatic Experiencing and Systems Theory. I work with adults, couples and families struggling with communication and a wide range of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, OCD,and CPTSD. I know first-hand how hard life is. Often times our experiences make us feel that we don't have the right tools to get through life’s hardships. I am here to help you embrace the resources and tools you already have inside of you and learn to practice using them differently. I believe knowledge paired with emotional healing is powerful. When you can begin to understand and accept yourself you can begin to see your emotions and hardships as opportunities to grow and heal your inner child. Through my own journey, I know it is possible to transform self-hatred into self-love — to trust yourself, your emotions, your reactions and use them as guides. Together let’s learn what you need and what you have been missing in your relationships — leading to experiencing life more authentically — resulting in peace and the freedom to choice & create the life YOU’VE always wanted to LIVE!

Healing starts here.
